About This Item
Grand Rapids, MI: Baker Book House Company, 1983. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Fine/Near Fine. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. Grand Rapids, MI: Baker Book House Company, 1983. First Edition. Octavo, cream boards in russet jacket, 222 numbered pages. Presumed association copy, with the signature of John H. Armstrong, dated July 1984, on the ffep - though I have no provenance to this effect, this is in all likelihood the same John H. Armstrong, a former pastor, who has authored a variety of largely evangelical religious books. A fine, pristine book, in a bright, slightly roughened jacket that is better than very good, close to near fine. Bright and tight, certainly the best preserved copy I've seen. Alden's widely admired and much sought-after treatment of the Book of Proverbs, with a foreword by Haddon W. Robinson. L46n
