* Prodigal Summer A Novel -first edition. a full number line, this author is one of my favorites,modern books are not well made nor well bound, every one of her books has some little special thing about it, this one has beautiful end papers with illustrations of butterflies original artwork by Paul Mirocha, book designed by Nicole Ferguson prodigal summer was published back in the year 2000. This book has been read multiple times it is not in pristine condition, some tears on the top of the dust cover plastic separating there's considerable wear, head and foot or top and bottom of book the interior the book is unmarked without names inscriptions are highlighting there is some wearing to the edges the pages the dust cover is glossy underneath it has light green speckled paper boards embossed butterfly,wrapped cloth spine silver titling.Barbara Kingsolver's work has been translated into more than twenty languages and has earned a devoted readership at home and abroad. She was awarded the National Humanities Medal, our country's highest honor for service through the arts, the 2011 Dayton Literary Peace Prize, 2010 won Britain's Orange Prize for The Lacuna. Before she made her living as a writer, Kingsolver earned degrees in biology and worked as a scientist. She now lives with her family on a farm in southern Appalachia..
