American (Association of) Instructors of the Blind Half bound in calf over marbled boards w/red & black labels on spine. Four raised bands. Size 8.75"x6.125". Approx 680 total pages. Proceedings of the American Instructors of the Blind: First Convention - New York, 1853 (printed 1872); Second Convention - Indianapolis, 1871. Proceedings of the American Association of Instructors of the Blind: First Meeting - Boston, 1872; Second Meeting - Batavia, 1874; Convention - Philadelphia, 1876; Fifth Biennial Convention - Columbus, 1878; Sixth Biennial Convention - Louisville, 1880. Included in the 1878 Proceedings is a fold-out chart 'Statement of Occupations.'. Exterior has rubs, moderate loss of leather at spine top & bottom, scuffs on bottom edge. Exterior joints are cracked, reinforced by cloth interior hinges. Foxing on text block edges, endpapers, and occasionally in text. Fold out chart has closed tear & creases. Previous owner's name & pencil notations on first title page. Overall condition: binding Good- (minus), text Good+ (plus)..
