The Voyage to Cadiz is bound in here (pp. 607-620), which is usually bound into volume 1. Bound in 19th century 3/4 calf over marbled boards; sprinkled edges. Printed on laid paper, the text is very clean and bright; page 550 is misnumbered 534; page 608 is misnumbered 680; H3, H4, Lll3, Lll4 and Lll5 with very light marginal dampstain. Piece missing from spine and front board separated, text block is sharp and square. volume 3 is entirely about the Americas and is one of the earliest English books on the subject of travel and exploration. Notably, pages 132-134 is "conteining a report of the true state and commodities of Newfoundland, by M. Anthonie Parkhurst, Gentleman, 1578." Pforzheimer 443. Sabin 29595.
