Internally there is some light foxing to endpapers and to the margins of a few early pages, else clean, tight and unmarked. Fore and lower edges uncut. Top edge gilt. xii + 332 page. 3 tissue protected engravings by J. Ayton Symington. Translated by Ellen Marriage with a preface by George Saintsbury. Third edition printed August 1900.
