About This Item
Black leather over padded board with gilt and blind stamping. Decorative endpapers with gilt. Text block all edges gilt. B&W illustrations.
FON inscribed on FFEP, dated 1896.
Unfortunately the cover of this beautiful book is in very poor shape: The black leather has been torn away in the front, revealing the padding below, and parts of the spine and back are similarly exposed (see photos). Endpapers have cracking and wear on edges. In contrast, the interior is in good shape, with a tight binding and age tanned paper.
