Dustjacket has repaired closed tears, some wear to edges, some loss to rear and is not price clipped. 242 pages. 37 illustrations and 3 genealogical tables. A biography of Princess Marina, Duchess of Kent (1906-1968). Born in Athens, the youngest of the three daughters of Prince and Princess Nicholas of Greece. Her paternal grandfather was King George I, who was Danish and was placed on the Greek throne by Britain, France and Russia. Her maternal grandfather was the Grand Duke Vladimir of Russia. Thus, through her grandparents and through her great-aunt-by marriage, Queen Victoria, Princess Marina was related directly and indirectly to virtually every Royal house in Europe. **** NOT EX LIB **** C3B.
