356 p., illus., portraits; 22 cm. Panizzi, an Italian political refugee, built the British Library (then part of the British Museum) into the first great national library. Ex-library with stamps, removed pasted card holders, etc. The book seems never to have been read after the mutilation, except by me. Stock#48048.
