Contemporary style, but probably later, grey boards and paper spine, preserving the original title-label. Boards worn at the corners, back cover damp-stained, frontis. heavily foxed and some foxing to the other plates to varying degrees, but still a sound copy of the scarce original edition. Ex-libris label of Mario and Fiametta Witt and ownership mark of Brent Maxfield. Includes a chapter on steam boats in America.
