About This Item

Postmortem - Patricia Daniels Cornwell (1990 1st Edition 1st Printing Vintage Hardcover w/DJ) Dr. Kay Scarpetta Book #1 Debut Crime Fiction Edgar Award

ISBN: 0684191415

Winner of the Edgar Award in 1991 for Best First Novel, this book debuts medical examiner, Dr. Kay Scarpetta.

Copyright 1990 and published by Charles Scribner's Sons (New York). First Edition, 1st Printing per the numberline on the copyright page; this is NOT a book club edition and indeed a 1st/1st evident by the dust jacket (barcode at the rear and price on the front flap) and the copyright page.

Dust jacket has $16.95 on the front flap where the jacket shows wear to include wrinkles, sunfade (particularly the spine), tanning to the edges and flaps, nicks, chips, and shelfwear.

Red/black hardcovers show wear such as slight spine lean, bumped corners, nicks to the edges, scuffs, spots (on black strip of the front board), light scratches, shelfwear, and some white marks on the foreedge. There is a name or inscription from a previous owner on the front endpaper, but otherwise there does not appear to be any other writing in the text. Page 139 shows a brown or orange smudge on the top of the page. Overall, this book is in Very Good Plus (VG+) condition.
