Oxford: Limited Editions Club, 1933. Hardcover. Slight rubbing and spotting to the spines. Near Fine in close to Fine dustwrappers and a Very Good, intact, rubbed slipcase with some soiling. John Austen. Two large quarto volumes (7-1/2" x 11-1/2") bound in rich brown Winterbottom buckram with the author and title in gilt on the spine and front cover as well as the figure of Pickwick and printed on pure rag paper. Introduction by G. K. Chesterton. Illustrated by John Austen with his typically masterful line drawings and color plates. Copy #206 of 1500 SIGNED by the illustrator on the colophon page.
