Zaltbommel, Netherlands: Europese Bibliotheek , 1966. Square hardcover without dust jacket, 111 pages including many black-and-white illustrations throughout, plus additional on unnumbered glossy pager pages;---text in Dutch;---cream-coloured cloth covers foxed, foxing and/or dust speckling to top edge, but very gently used, only tiny traces of shelf wear, previous owner's professionally designed (by owner, Dutch-Canadian silhouette artist and graphic designer Hans-Detlev Voss who still lived and worked in The Netherlands during the 1930s/1940s) bookplate inside front cover, his usual tiny ink numeral inside back cover, three-line ink inscription to Voss on free front endpaper which appears to be signed by Schwenske and dated "1966", all text pages very clean and unmarked, no foxing; as a further note, Voss is listed in the "Trefwoorden" for four of his silhouettes used, but he has added five more in pencil with his tiny precise numerals.
