Minor issues present such as mild cracking, inscriptions, inserts, light foxing, tanning and thumb marking. Overall a good condition item. Boards have mild shelf wear with light rubbing and corner bumping. Some light marking and sunning. Unclipped jacket has light edge wear with minor tears, chipping and creasing. All surfaces heavily tanned, particularly spine.

Boards are a little rub worn, slight shelf wear to corners, spine and edges. Corners are a little bumped. Spine ends are mildly crushed. Light tanning to spine and edges. Light wear to clipped dust jacket with tears, nicks and creases to spine, edge and corners. Light tanning to spine and edges.

London: George Allen & Unwin Ltd, 1957. Hardcover. Second impression following the 1956 first; hardbound in red cloth boards lettered silverfoil and enclosed in the dust jacket (unclipped). He speaks of H.G. Wells, D.H. Lawrence, and multiple philosophers of his time. Nice copy, near-fine in every respect, with just hints of handling on the dust jacket.

London: Readers Union, 1958 Copy in grey cloth on boards in unclipped D/J. Board spionelightly sunned with some carry over to b upper and lower boarrd edges. Jacket spine slightly sunned. Jacket chipped and creased around edges with a few small pieces missing. Front blub flap split along edge. Free of inscriptions. Clean and flat contents.
