Two-volume memoir and biography of publisher Alfred A. Knopf. Both volumes were issued in an edition of 2,000 copies for Typophile subscribers, contributors, and friends of Knopf. Volume I entitled Portrait of a Publisher, 1915-1965: Reminiscences and Reflections by Alfred A. Knopf (xiv, 298pp, photos). Volume II entitled Portrait of a Publisher, 1915-1965: Alfred A. Knopf and the Borzoi Imprint: Recollections and Appreciations, by various authors (xiii, 302pp, photos). Both volumes contain an introduction by Paul A. Bennett and they comprise Typophile Chapbooks 42 and 43, respectively. ; 8vo 8" - 9" tall .
