The story of the Nimpkish River and the folks who live near it on the northeastern coast of Vancouver Island. Valerie has written that her father wasn't too fond of Pool and Rapid when it was first published in 1932 (Haig-Brown described the work as "naive and derivative"), but the limited edition, published 65 years later, just might have pleased her father; indeed, "It is a book of its time." A fine letterpress book printed on Carlyle Japan paper. The book is bound in brown cloth with silver titles. Brown cloth slip case with a colored plate affixed to the side panel. A nice book. Fine in a fine slip case.. Signed by Author.
