Moore's survey of the British poetry scene, 1950-1957. Includes portraits of Robert Graves, Edwin Muir, Kathleen Raine, and Thom Gunn. Moore was a scholar of American literature, as well as a writer, poet, and broadcaster. Appointed the G.F. Grant Professor of American Literature at Hull University in 1962, he established its Department of American Studies. Scarce.
