Top edge textblock dyed gold. Boards have mild edge-wear with slight rubbing to surfaces and bumping to corners. Slight crushing to spine ends. Gilt lettering is darkened. Slight crushing to spine ends. Slight tanning to spine and edges.

Rough cut pages are lightly tanned and thumbed at the edges, with creased corners and foxing. A few pages are uncut, thus unread. Binding has remained firm. Boards are a little rub worn, slight shelf wear to corners, spine and edges. Corners are a little bumped. Spine ends are mildly crushed. Tanning to spine and edges. Boards are bowed. Book has a forward lean. Water marks to boards and spine.

Pages are mildly tanned throughout. Text is clear. Severe cracking to gutters causing boards and binding to be loose. However, boards & pages throughout remain attached. Boards have heavy edge-wear with bumping to corners, crushing & tanning to spine ends and rub wear all over. Gilt lettering darkened. Noticeable red staining. Minor splits causing fraying to cloth at spine ends.

Moderate tanning, with light foxing and marking to pages. Noticeable tanning to rough-cut text block edges. Cracking to front hinge, with exposed netting. Water damage throughout. Boards have moderate shelf wear, with rubbing and marking. Moderate bumping to corners and crushing to spine ends. Book has noticeable forward lean, with tanning to spine. Boards are slightly bowed with bubbles.

Lettering remains bright and clear. Book has a slight forward lean.

Boards have heavy shelf-wear with bumping to corners and rub wear all over. Moderate tanning to spine with crushing to ends. Wear marks overall. Gilt lettering to spine is bright and clear. Book has slight forward lean.
