Two volumes complete - Volume One - [4], 260pp and Volume Two - [4], 260pp. Full contemporary calf, raised bands, spines in six panels, morocco title label to second panel, contrasting volume label to third, remaining panels with central flower device and small flower corner pieces. Slightly chipped to spine ends, rubbed to extremities, corners bumped, outer joints slightly split but holding. Internally some occasional light spotting and off-setting, previous owners bookplate to front pastedown, with another owners name to second endpaper, ffep excised at head. Engraved frontispiece and two other full-page engraved plates. A reprint of the 1752 London edition, with the title reset to read 1753 (Estc). Reprint. Full Calf. Good. 12mo.

Full calf, pretty gilt-stamped border and details on boards and spine, gilt-stamped lettering in burgundy leather spine labels, marbled endpapers. With 8 etched plates in Volume 1, and 1 etched plate in Volume 2, plus lovely decorations and illuminated initials in both. Boards bit rubbed and scratched; joints and spine tips scuffed and a little chipped; corners bumped. Some faint soiling on upper board of Volume 2. Text blocks lovely throughout -- bright, tight, and clean. Includes "Trivia, or, The Art of Walking the Streets of London," which never fails to please. A slightly worn (let's say, "loved"), and still attractive little set.
