Thomas Nelson and Sons, Ltd, London, 1953. First Edition. Hardcover. Good Condition/Good. Illustrator: Jack Harman. list of illustrations. Jack Harman drew the six black-and-white illustrations within the text. Dull red coloured boards with black coloured illustration of a rearing horse with a young man on board to the front panel. With black coloured titles to the front panel and backstrip. Colour illustrated dustwrapper, by Jack Harman, with blue and red coloured titles to the front panel and backstrip. A Pocomoto adventure, who he captured and tamed his horse Goldflash. Softening, rubbing and fading of the backstrip; some bumping of the book corners. Age toning and quite heavy foxing to the textblock edges and to the pages. The frontispiece is missing. Tape remnants can be seen to the end pages and there is a small, half-inch top front hinge. Original bookseller's sticker to the lower right-hand corner of the front paste-down. The number '135'has been placed to the free front end page in a red coloured ink. Erasure mark can be seen to the top right-hand corner of the free front page. Chipping to the dustwrapper corners and to the top and bottom backstrip edges. Rubbing of the panels quite noticeable handling marks of the rear panel. Tape to the front fold over panel. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. [6], VII, [1], 216 pages.. Dust Jacket price-clipped.
