Berkeley: Bern Porter, (ca. 1944). first thus. softcover. Very good. Miller, Henry. Yellow stapled wrappers, approx. 6" wide by 8 5/16" tall, 38 pages. Illustrated with four reproductions in black and white of watercolors of Miller. Contents loose from covers. Includes "An Open Letter to All and Sundry" written by Miller, portions of which were published in The New Republic and Time magazines, plus other letters. Signed in pencil by the publisher on the last pages, with his address in Berkeley, and numbered "Copy 794" (of 950 copies). Very good condition with only very light taning of covers at edges. Laid in is a blue mimeographed sheet, folded, announcing: The Happy Rock / A Book About Henry Miller / prepared by 35 internationally-known artists and writers for Bern Porter..." etc 090617A.
