Author Stuart Ross Taylor has carried out extensive investigation in lunar and terrestrial trace element geochemistry, including research work on analytical techniques, the composition and evolution of the continental crust, island-arc volcanic rocks, tektites, meteorite impact glasses, lunar samples and models for the geochemical evolution of the Moon. Dr Taylor was a member of the Lunar Sample Preliminary Examination Team for Apollo 11 and 12 and carried out the first chemical analysis of a lunar sample.
