About This Item
New York: Duell, Sloan and Pearce, 1949. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good+/Good+. Cloth; dust jacket; 8vo; pp. [10], 244. Inscribed by the author on the half-title page: "For Stuart Oderman, with many good wishes, from Erskine Caldwell, December 1970." Spine tips and edges of boards a bit rubbed and sunned; scuff mark on front paste-down (perhaps an attempt to remove an ownership signature); small, faint stain at fore-edge of text block, nowhere infringing into the margins or text itself. Dust jacket rubbed; lightly chipped and torn along the edges, with stains from some old tape repairs; not to shabby in mylar, presents well.
Stuart Oderman is a piano accompanist and composer for silent films.
