NY: Doubleday, Page & Co. 1903. First Edition . Hardcover. Very Good/No Jacket. First issue, publisher's "Special Presentation Edition" with gray paper boards and a paper label on spine. Very good, with a 1/2" tear at the foot of the spine and a small area on the outside of the front gutter where the paper has flaked away. Lower corner tips have slight loss. Volume two of The Epic of the Wheat (volume three was never completed).
Synopsis
