Hardcover. 22.5cm, in four parts, 49,78,107,& 84p. numerous illustrations, drawings and portraits, in the original red cloth, gilt titles, new endpapers, some wear on the top and bottom spine edges else a very good to fine association copy. (on) This copy belonged to Philemon Wright's brother Thomas descendants. With the following presentations in ink on the free fly To My dear Son, Marcus Colburn Wright, Wishing him, A very merry Xmas, Dec. 25th, 190(). [Reference to family genealogy - in a different hand ]. p.70. Caroline Wright nee Knapp. [In a different hand]. And to my son, S. Arthur Wright, Aug. 19th, 1940. Morley p71. The parts consist of 1. - South Hull. 2. - Aylmer, 1830-1904. 3. - The Humours of the Valley. 4. - Genealogies. The author spent a great deal of his time researching this book; interviewing the children and families of the pioneers for anecdotes and reminiscences of those bygone times and of the people.
