Octavo. 299pp., The author, an English geologist and geophysicist presents his mathematical theory of liquid just below the earth's crust, and his theory of faulting and volcanoes. Bound in dark blue-black cloth, spine lettering gilt, slight bumping and wear, inner front hinge a bit fragile. A very good copy.
