Bound in the blue and gold cloth with symbolic Cal bear on the front cover and gold silk tie on the spine binding it together..

Oakland: Bray & Mulgrew Press, 1919. 1st. Hardcover. Oblong 8vo. [92] pp. 43 black & white photo-reproductions; text description of image on facing page. Blue cloth spine with burnished gold cloth boards; dark blue lettering and bear design to front board. 3-hole stab-stitched with yellow-gold string. A fine copy (minor wear to extremities); uncommon. Beautiful images, many showing areas of the campus that have since radically changed with on-going development. Abell studied and worked at the University of California from 1911-1917. He acknowledges William C. Matthews of the University Press for his instruction and encouragement as well as the use of several Matthew's pictures for the collection.
