The 1932 edition of this impressive, short-lived French annual issued out of Paris and lasting only 11 years in this original incarnation. 111 lavish full-page gravures (plus 4 color photographs introducing the collection) by the likes of Man Ray, Margaret Bourke-White, Berenice Abbott, Cecil Beaton, Edward Weston, Lee Miller, Germaine Krull, Hoppe, Florence Henri, Henri Cartier-Bresson, Andreas Feininger, Robert Bresson, Anton Bruehl, et al. Also includes over a dozen very stylish, Deco-suffused ads at the rear. This issue has held up very well to boot: clean and VG+ to Near Fine in its spiral-bound, orange wrappers, with just a touch of very light creasing along the panel edges. Tall quarto, crisp and very presentable, with a number of hauntingly beautiful photos. Also includes a handsome navy-blue custom-made box (with bright gilt-titling along the spine), which houses the annual.
