Description:
Washington: Smithsonian Institution, 1889. "The difficulty of analyzing the structure of the solar corona is increased by the superposition of individual rays in projection on a plane perpendicular to the line of sight." pp. 5-22. Covers in Fair condition. Edges on both front and back covers have significant chipping and tears. Dark smudges and staining on both covers. Interior is string-bound. Red stamp on title page that reads "Davenport Public Museum 1928 4". Tissue guard to black/white plate has several very small holes (silverfish?), but otherwise intact. Bottom corner has creases and perhaps a small waterstain. Otherwise interior is tight and in Good condition.. Wraps. Good to Good-. Illus. by Diagrams, Tables, Plates. Size: Approx. 10" x 13 1/2". Astronomy.
