Philadelphia: J. B. Lippincott Company, 1942. Hardcover. 291pp. Duodecimo [19 cm] Pale blue cloth over boards, with the title stamped in blue ink on the spine. Good condition only. Ex-Rental Library. The spine is rolled and faded, and there is a 1 and 1/4" split in the cloth at the head of the spine, along the rear joint. The cloth at the foot of the spine is chipped. Underlying boards exposed occasionally along the edges. The edges of the boards are sunned. The text block is cracked at the title page. There are two library stamps on the front free endsheet. Pp. 120-121 are a bit stained. Many of Woolrich's stories were adapted in the 1940s for Suspense and other radio programs. Phantom Lady was made into a film noir in 1944.
