Dijon: Pellion et Marchet Freres Editeurs, 1880. Fine. 16mo (4 5/8"). 256p. Five full-page plates in heliogravure after A. Durand printed by Gruel & Englemann. Bound by Gruel & Englemann in deep wine morocco with their monogram on the upper cover and their stylized initials on the decorated endpapers, the spine untitled with rules in blind and "Gruel" in gilt at foot, the covers with borders and panels in blind, a.e.g., double gilt fillets on the board edges and intricate gilt dentelles. Leon Gruel (1840-1923) whose bindings are scarce is the author of Manuel Historique et Bibliographique de L'Amateur de Reliure.
