Peter Pan in Kensington Gardens by J M Barrie - 1907

London: Hodder & Stoughton, 1907 A good copy of the 4th edition in this format with 50 tipped in colour plates by Arthur Rackham. This edition was first published in 1906 and was extremely popular and this is the fourth printing. The decorative cloth binding is clean and tight having been rebacked with new matching cloth to the back board. The original spine has been relaid. The front board is faded and the cloth is a little blotchy. There is general light wear to edges and corners. The original endpapers are present with a plan of Kensington Gardens on the fep. Contents: half title; frontispiece with guard; title; contents, illustration list etc; text pp 1-126; plates at the rear. Contents are very clean. There is loss to the bottom of the tissue guard to one plate and another plate has a small crease to the inner bottom corner.
