Philip Henry Sheridan was a career United States Army officer and a Union general in the American Civil War. Clean texts; Volume One is 500 pages, with a frontis portrait; Volume Two is xi, 486 pages. Indexed, and with a frontis portrait. Marbled endpapers. Owner signature on the second FEP and bookplate on the front paste-down; signature also in Volume Two. Unfortunately, these books have been ill-treated in some way, with the result that the covers, while present, have been detached. Please note the condition issues. Quercus must offer these books as Binding Copies, in need of restoration or repair.
