London: Printed for Henry Clements ..., 1709. 24pp. Octavo. Sewn. Some careful early manuscript embellishments where original letterpress was faint, a few spots and creases at the lower edge, else good copy. One of the several impressions by Clements of one of the sermons central to the Sacheverell controversy and his trial. The first edition appeared in November 1709 under the Clements imprint, and as interest in the case grew, it was frequently reprinted, picked up by other publishers, and translated. This copy conforms to the readings of the dedication and last line of text for ESTC N8926. ESTC N8926. MADAN/SPECK 61.
