Book interior NEAR FINE, Covers Near Fine. Covers are blue, lettering is yellow, pictorial front and back, different images. Back cover has small bent corner, some minor edge wear, and a vertical crease by spine. Spine is slightly slanted, has some vertical creases, some chipping at top and bottom. Front cover same as back. Page edges sunned. Inside of book is tight, clean, bright, clear, white, flat. Black/white maps, line drawings. The vanishing eskimo, a valiant people’s fight for survival.

A classic account of the degradation of a tribe of Canadian Indians focuses on the fate of the Ihalmiut people of Northern Canada who suffered cultural decline, food shortages, and outside exploitation throughout the twentieth century.
