About This Item
San Mateo CA: Delores K. Jibby, 1949. Spiral_bound. A peculiar book; unpaginated, perhaps two hundred pages, profuse b&w photography (pedestrian, modest reproduction quality), texts rendered from typed ms and holograph headings. Softbound with a wide-diameter wire spiral. Covers are detached (but present) and very ragged along spine fastening, but the leaves are undamaged. A fair to good-only copy, good within but a little hard to handle and turn pages because of inappropriate binding technique. Subject matter ranges from real estate and local business venues, to notable locals, to auto-racing, horseback riding (lotsa cowboy hats) and an extensive aviation coverage, especially helicopters then being developed. The computer era changed all this folksy stuff, of course.
