1922. 1922 Bredon, Juliet PEKING; A HISTORICAL AND INTIMATE DESCRIPTION OF ITS CHIEF PLACES OF INTEREST Second Edition Shanghai: Kelly & Walsh, 1922 521pp, black and white photographs, folding maps, large folding map inside back cover Rough-cut pages partially uncut 8vo Contemporary lengthy inscription (dated 1924) written on the half-tpage in green ink Foxing on the first couple of pages, some short tears in the outer folds of the large map (outer edges protrude beyond the textblock, hence the tears) Front hinge tender, rear hinge partially cracked but intact Orange silk covers stamped in gold and black on front cover, black titles on spine, light discoloration on spine; overall a Very Good+ hardcover with only minor shelfwear on covers.
