Full title:The Peerage of Scotland: Containing an Historical Genealogical Account of the Nobility of that Kingdom. Collected from the Publick Records of the Nation, the Charters and Other Writings of the Nobility, and from the most approved Histories. Full contemporary leather. Decorated banded spine. Marbled end-papers. Title in red and black. Text in 2 columns. Occasional woodcut decoration. Bookplate on front inner cover, showing armorial bearing of the House of Abercairny. Small area of loss of leather on front cover, and leather is lightly marked and rubbed. Wear at spine-head. Bumped and scuffed corners. Partial loss of red spine-label. Paper covering front and rear hinges is split. Leather is split over most of front joint and top section of rear joint. Internal binding is sound. Water spill mark in lower margin of title-page, preface and subscribers' list. Pages are otherwise clean but darkened. Small bookseller's label at lower edge of rear end-paper. Contains: Preface; A List of the Subscribers' Names that are come to Hand; The Peerage of Scotland; Index. vii, iv, 502, [3]. No dust jacket, as published. Quantity Available: 1.
