[4], v-xiv, [2], 3-206, [2] pp. Bound in orange cloth with lettering in gold and black on the spine. Illustrated with a full-page map and numerous black and white photographs. Notes, bibliography, and index. Foreword by Boyce D. Timmons. An attractive copy of Hoig's book on the predicament faced by the Cheyenne peace chiefs, members of the Council of Forty-four, in the late nineteenth century with individual accounts of the most prominent of them. Fine book in a Very Good or better dust jacket with tiny sticker ghost to the front flap and a few traces of rubbing.
