Baur's Hegelian interpretation correct? What about Adolph Harnack who he interacts with and ends with his own philosophical evaluation. (This was before Harnack was caught up in the extreme German nationalism during World War I). Since the major works of Karl Barth came in the coming decades he did not see the genius of Barth's Der Romerbrief which appeared in 1919 which was called by historians and theologians "a bombshell on the theological world".
