A portfolio with flaps enclosing loose sheets: the portfolio is separated at the spine, one of the flaps is nearly detached, with wear and small tears/creases at the edges; the sheets are blunted at the corners with a small light crease at one corner, otherwise fine; the images are all fine; name and date to the title page. TEL, 1952. Soft cover. Good. 4to - over 9¾ - 12" tall. 54pp, with maps and numerous, stunning monochrome plates reproducing photographs of Mont-Saint-Michel. In stiff card wrappers (chipped and scuffed at spine tips). There's a previous owner's gift inscription on the half-title page; and some mild browning at page edges, not affecting images. The binding is a little fragile. In its original glassine dust wrapper, now browned and fragile. Large 4to. A stunning photography record of Mont-Saint Michel, a magic island in Normandy topped by an Abbey, with a brief commentary (in French and English) on the history of the site. A large volume which may require an additional charge for overseas delivery.
