Stated, ' Winner of The Nobel prize For Literature' above title on front panel. Book has blue (author), black (title) and brown (article) text on front. Initial 'P' in title has pen nib at base. Book has very slight edge wear and some light soiling. Book is from the collection of the Toronto author/poet and often Harbourfront literary event host, Greg Gatenby. It is his signature at top of ffep, and the date is the date he acquired this book. Book is flatSIGNED by author in black ink below the title. SIGNED by AUTHOR Bookseller's Inventory # 122986.

Synopsis

Nobel prize-winning novelist William Golding pens The Paper Men to tell the tale of Wilfred Barclay.  This character is an English author who is dealing with alcoholism, bitterness, depression and a failed marriage. He is being hounded by American professor Rick L. Tucker who wishes to write his biography.
