Boston, Small Maynard and Company, 1908, hardcover, 91 pp, First Edition, First Printing, Good condition in illustrated blue cloth-covered boards stamped in purple, black and gold, gilt top edge, no dustjacket. Straight, tight and clean with no markings, spine-end, corner and edge wear, spine and untrimmed text block edges a bit darkened, crease and spots to rear board, binding shaken at p 80 but firm. An allegorical short story of destiny featuring a lady and a panther. Illustrated with four inserted plates, one in color and tissue guarded, by Paul K. M. Thomas, title page printed in lavender and green, text printed in lavender and black, decorated endpapers.
