[16 p.p.]. Back matter contains a town directory, subscriber list, and ads. Bound as an octavo in brown patterned cloth boards, reminiscent of moire. Spine label worn, affecting text. Ink crossout to p. 80. Eleven engraved plates, 3 of which fold out. One colour plate with signal flags. Plates by J. P. Vibert and Sears; after J. Triggs, C. Hullmandel and T. M. Baynes. Roughly cut edges. Bumping and wear to corners. Chips to spine ends. Wear to front joint. Front hinge cracked. Some foxing throughout, and offsetting from plates. This book stands as a snapshot of history of Falmouth, Cornwall, U.K. A rare edition. Printed under the immediate patronage of His Royal Highness, Prince WIlliam Henry Duke of Clarence, the first Lord High Admiral in the United Kingdom since 1709.
