Poor, binding edition only, board missing, remaining board detached, some markings on FFEP, wear to both endsheets, however text very clean and intact given age.. Full leather binding. 355 pp. Woodblock capitals, occasional other woodblock ornament. Author's English translation of Latin original. Commissioned by the Earl of Arundel (Junius' patron), this volume compiles almost all mentions of the visual arts in ancient literature, including some comments about poetry. This work was highly influential to the Neoclassical movement.
