The catalogue also features 13 color illustrations at the beginning of the book. Introduction by the curator, William S. Lieberman. CONDITION: Light edge wear and soiling to wrappers, toning to page edges. Very Good.

The book includes a series of essays on the historic, economic, and cultural environment of Edo period Japan and the collections focus on early Kabuki actor prints, including many by the artists Toyokuni and Kuniyoshi).
