The six comedies of Terence, "Interpretatione & Notis Illustravit Nicolaus Camus, J.U.D, jussu Christianissimi Regis, in usum Serenissimi Delphini. Juxta Editionem novissimam Parisiensem". Modern rebinding, quarter-leather over marbled boards. The 1687 edition printed by Benj. Motte for J. Nicholson, B. Tooke, J. Sprint and M. Atkins in London, 1709. Condition notes: A bright, clean, sound copy. A previous owner has stuck in a typed label of bibliographic/biographical information to the original front free end paper. Faults as follows: a few pages with more than the usual age tanning. Prolegomena has pp cii to cxviii missing (ie 8 leaves- all of gathering h). This is a genuine lack, not a mis-numbering, as the catch words do not match. P 63 has a snip out of top right hand corner, with loss of margin but not text, presumably to remove a (still just visible) previous annotation. This snipping has also resulted in small cuts (about a quarter to half an inch) to the margins of the next two or three pages, but with no loss. Occasional (old and now faded) ink splashes.
