Phillips & Hunt, 1885. Hardcover. Very Good. Original blue cloth with blind-stamped decorations, gilt spine titles. Spine a shade sunned with gentle wear at ends. An inscription dated April 13th, 1885 states "Bought at the ME conference Oswego NY, " presumably the Methodist Episcopal conference. A unique book indeed. The table of contents is traditional and outlines the specific people and events. The book, however, is written as an epic poem--perhaps a fitting form for the subject. . 8vo. 275 pages Professional bookseller since 1998. Orders shipped daily in cardboard bookfolds.
