In the rare original dust-jacket which reproduces the image of the Author at work. A scarce volume of poems in the North-East vernacular. Subjects that engage the poet include, drink, pipe smoking and domestic life and marriage all delivered in a down-to-earth humorous style. A Glossary with pronunciation hints to rear aid the reader unfamiliar with the local brogue. COPAC locates 3 copies only, none in the North East. Sporadic foxing mainly to endpapers. Dust-jacket with some loss, particularly to spine and a closed repaired tear to front (repaired internally with archival tape). Scarce, especially so in the dust-jacket.
