The boards are flat and clean; front board a little loose from slight hinge damage. Very lightly foxed end papers. Slightly tanned cut edges; fore edge shows badly cut pages. The text block is in very good minus condition, tightly bound from Contents page; very lightly tanned throughout. Small sellotape repair made from tail edge of pages 273/4 and the tape has darkened. Prelims have a few foxed marks. No dedications etc. With b/w photos. Two unmarked fold-out coloured maps in very good condition attached to rear. Index pages not uncut. In poor off-white dust jacket with orange and black titles. The jacket is grubby with small and medium sized open and closed tears and pieces missing. Not price clipped. Rare edition.
