Chapel Hill, NC: University of North Carolina Press, 1958. First Edition, Second Printing. Hardcover. Very Good+/Very Good. Frank Stick, Illustrator. Second printing of the first edition, SIGNED by the author, in unclipped original dust jacket. Clean gray cloth boards with gold ship on cover, gold lettering on spine. No bumping or fraying. Binding is tight and square, hinges are sound - no cracking. Pages and edges are clean with clean map-illustrated endpapers (small beautifully penned previous owner name at lower corner of front free endpaper). Signed by the author on half-title page: "David Stick". Illustrated by the author's father, Frank Stick. 352 pages with index. Clean dust jacket is not price clipped, has light surface rubbing and edge wear, a few short closed edge tears and tiny edge chips. Enclosed in new archival quality removable mylar cover.
